Celebrities Who Drive Green

The first driver in our new series is Barbara Boxer, US Senator for California.
Senator Boxer tells us
"I own hybrids on both coasts and they are the best cars I've ever owned."

Don't Be Fueled! Mothers For Clean and Safe Vehicles is a grassroots ("gasroots") effort initiated by a group of parents, especially mothers, who are concerned about the safety and the environmental soundness of the fleet of vehicles currently plying our roads.
Our education and action campaign is designed to combat the myths that have stalled the trend toward cleaner and safer vehicles: that family vehicles have to be gas guzzlers; that mothers don't care about the negative impacts of their vehicle choices; and that SUVs are "safe."

High Court Ruling is a Sweeping Victory in Fight Against Global Warming
In a huge victory in the fight against global warming
the
Supreme Court today issued a ruling in the case of Massachusetts v. EPA
decisively rejecting the Bush administration's inaction on global warming.
In a 5-4 vote, the High Court sided with the Sierra Club, 12 states, 3
cities, and the other petitioners in the case by agreeing that carbon
dioxide and other global warming pollutants can be regulated under the
Clean Air Act (CAA). More

The Truth Wins and the Oscars Go Green!
The documentary, An Inconvenient Truth gained another award - an Oscar
win. Presenters also referred to the fact that the Oscar ceremony had
been organised with green methods in mind. Their
website gives some tips
for green driving and living. These may not be new to us but its wonderful
that such a huge audience heard about them. Green is becoming mainstream.
The Associated Press reported earlier this month that DVD’s of the movie will go to all secondary schools in England. 3,385 schools will see the DVD as part of a year long environmental education campaign. Send a message to Congress with Al Gore by signing at www.algore.com/cards.html
